One demographic that is pivotal is the women in Indiana. Men and women are split about equally 50/50 in Indiana so there and with Young’s support of Trump women who share about 50% of the population of Indiana might be reluctant to support Todd Young because of his allegiance to Trump who doesn’t poll well with women at all. A topic that is important to Indiana women is abortion, this is why women might also be reluctant as Mike Pence recently signed a law limiting abortion. This caused a large amount of blowback amongst women who are concerned as they should be about their rights. They form a huge part of the population so as a result views that counter even some female republicans need to be handled with care by Todd Young, and maneuvered carefully by both candidates.
